product description
The following is a detailed introduction to its properties, uses, manufacturing methods and safety information:
Quality:
- Appearance: Colorless to yellowish liquid
- Refractive index: 1.459-1.461
Use:
CN is often used as an intermediate in fine organic synthesis and has high reactivity.
Method:
A commonly used method for the preparation of CN is obtained by the reaction of hydrogen cyanide and 2-methoxycyclobutyl bromide followed by esterification with the substrate. The specific steps are as follows:
2-methoxycyclobutane bromide (C9H17BrO) and sodium cyanide (NaCN) were reacted to obtain 2-methoxycyclobutane cyanide (C9H16NOCN).
Cyanide 2-methoxycyclobutane was reacted with tert-butanol (C4H10O) to obtain CN.
Safety Information:
CN is a flammable liquid, so avoid ignition when storing and operating. Contact with the skin can cause irritation, and appropriate protective gear should be worn. Avoid inhaling vapors and should operate in a well-ventilated area. In case of inhale or contact, call a doctor immediately and provide relevant chemical information.
